TITLES

We all have them, but some are more highly regarded than others. So far, there have been two titles earned this year from people who had not previously been the holder of these TITLES. The third and fourth SX title’s will have been given away before you read this, and unless hell freezes over, JS will have earned both the USSX and WSX TITLES prior to the Vegas final. With that happening, there will be two left to fight for, hypothetically. Is there an upset coming? You never know. But, should something happen to James, Red Dog may just earn his first major Championship in the 450 class. Red Dog is riding the wheels off his KX, and it is great to see someone that has been up and down and up this motocross totem pole a few times getting some well deserved respect. I think Red is the hands down favorite to be vice-champion in the 450 class, and as I eluded to before could be the dark horse to win the thing should James have some mistakes. It is a long series and I am sure the racing will be great. Now we move to the 250 class, and this is were the racing is going to be absolutely crazy all summer long. The title contenders (should they all stay healthy) list is long and distinguished. Villopoto, Townley, Grant, Hill, Lawrence, Dungey, Metcalf, McFarlane, and Hepler. Yes, that is nine riders that could possibly be in the championship hunt. Sounds like fun. You never know hw it is going to pan out, but one thing is for sure, 24 motos of blood, sweat, and tears will decide the 250F TITLE, which will all come to a close at GH in September.

Enjoy the summer, I know I will.

Until next time, have fun and be safe.
