Currently leading the "2007 Dade City Sponsors Cup" is Brooksville Florida's own Kyle Keylon. Kyle took a minute out of his busy training schedule to get us up to date.
FLmx: So, how is the "2007 Dade City Sponsors Cup" treating you?
KK: So far it has been very good, I have won 4 rounds and missed 1 round. I am having a lot of fun racing with all those guys.
FLmx: I know Vince DeVane isn't intimidated by anyone so what is it like racing against him?
KK: It is really cool racing with Vince. He has a lot of experience and is really fast.
FLmx: Is Vince your top competition each week?
KK: Yes, so far we have had some really good battles. He can get some good hole shots, he keeps taking the hole shot money!
FLmx: You live 20 minutes from Dade City Raceway, are you allowed to ride there anytime?
KK: No, I only ride at Dade City on Thursday night practice and Saturday night races.
FLmx: I understand you get coached by Randy Yoho (owner of Dade City Raceway) what is that like?
KK: It's really good to get to work with Randy. He is really good at watching me and letting me know where I need to change things. He is tough on me but I know it is for my own good!
FLmx: How long have you been getting coached by Randy?
KK: For as long as I can remember! He really started helping me a lot when I got on 80's.
FLmx: What will the winner of the Dade City Sponsors Cup receive?
KK: The winner of the Sponsors Cup for the year will win $5,000 so it is a big deal!
FLmx: What is your racing plan for the remainder of 2007?
KK: I will be qualifying for Loretta Lynn's this summer. After the regionals are over in June I will train locally until Loretta's. I will be riding the Dade City Sponsor Cup races in between. I also plan on going to a few of the outdoor nationals to ride the Amateur day.
FLmx : Any sponsors you would like to thank?
KK: Yes, I would like to thank Randy for all of his help. Performance Honda, Fox, Utopia, George at BPM racing, Vortex, Factory Effex, WMI for all of my suspension work, Wiseco, Maxima Oils, EVS Knee Braces, ProClean, Dunlop and White Brothers
Thanks Kyle and good luck!
Thanks, see you at the track!
